Financial Literacy

At BMC, we believe that financial literacy is the key to unlocking a brighter future. Our Financial Literacy Program offers opportunities for Dane County youth and adults to gain essential skills in managing their finances, planning for their futures, and asking the important questions that lead to financial well-being. In partnership with Summit Credit Union, our six-week course empowers individuals and communities with the tools to create generational wealth and economic advancement, particularly in marginalized communities. 

Strengthening Community Prosperity through Financial Literacy: Strong financial literacy in the community is the foundation for economic growth and personal prosperity. BMC's Community Financial Literacy program is designed to benefit individuals, families, and communities at large. 

Empowering the Workforce with Financial Knowledge: Employee financial literacy enhances job satisfaction, reduces financial stress, and promotes workplace stability. BMC's Financial Literacy program extends to employees, providing them with the tools to make informed financial decisions. 

Educational Empowerment within Correctional Facilities: Our Financial Literacy program extends its reach to individuals at the Dane County Jail, offering the knowledge and tools needed for better financial decisions. Financial literacy within correctional facilities helps individuals transition back into society with the skills to make positive financial choices. 

Empowering Rehabilitation Through Financial Education: BMC collaborates with the Sheriff’s Department (Dane County Jail) to provide financial education to individuals within the correctional system. Financial literacy contributes to successful reintegration and reduces recidivism rates.
