We recognize the unique challenges faced by individuals with limited work experience as they seek to enter the professional world. To address this, we have developed a comprehensive job readiness program that aims to equip candidates with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the workplace. Through a structured curriculum that prioritizes the development of crucial soft skills, participants undergo targeted modules focusing on communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving.

Our courses also include an intensive resume building component, guiding candidates in crafting compelling and impactful resumes that highlight their strengths and potential contributions. Additionally, the program emphasizes workplace readiness, providing practical insights into office dynamics, professional etiquette, and the expectations of the contemporary work environment. By guiding candidates through these transformative courses, we aim to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, ensuring that our participants emerge not only with a polished set of skills but also with the confidence and know-how to navigate the job market successfully.  

How it Works and What Does BMC Provide

Pre Employment Services with the goal of Value Building: Everyone wants to have value, to feel valued. In this stage, you will work with BMC to:

  • Create or update a professional resume-

  • Skills, interests, and personality type assessments

  • Employment search and placement

  • Review and understand your background checks.

  • Acquire any work-related equipment, uniforms, etc.

  • Become employment-ready by being certified in workplace etiquette, soft skills, and safety training

  • Build your BMC support team

Employment Services and Knowledge Building: Our growth requires learning. Learning leads to changes. Changes are the building blocks to achieving goals.

  • Basic needs assessment for housing, food, and dependent care

  • Support Services to get you through life when it gets in the way of work

  • Support Manager assigned and begin building relationships with

  • Develop your Life Plan – Where are you, where do you want to be, and what are the steps to get there? 

  • Matched with BMC mentor

  • Complete Financial Literacy stage 1 coursework

  • Participate in BMC Employee rewards and recognition programs

Wrap Around Support Services and Independence Building: With basic needs met, a strong sense of belonging and knowing one’s value leads to a deeper self development.

  • Weekly check-ins with one or more of your support team members. 

  • Participate in Self-Wellness coursework matching your Life Plan goals. 

  • Assess long-term transportation needs (driver's license and/or vehicle assessment. 

  • Matching with any additional needed community resources. 

  • Continue the Financial Literacy journey by completing stage 2 of coursework. 

  • Participate in mental health services programming according to your Life Plan

  • BMC works with employers that provide a minimum of $20 per hour.

  • We are on a 26-week pay schedule, meaning payday is every other Friday.

  • That is OK! BMC provides transportation! A location near your residence will be set where you will get picked up and dropped off.

  • That is our goal! We will run and review your background check with you and determine the best employment opportunity for you.
